Typical habitat for Hylaeus anthracinus. Puako, South Kohala. Coral rubble for nesting is abundant and the bees visit flowers of tree heliotropes (Heliotropium foertherianum, =Tournefortia argentea) in large numbers. There was over 100 bees in the frame when this picture was taken.
