January 1, 2010. Hawaii Volcanoes NP, Kipuka Puaulu. Webs of the Australian house spider (Badumna longinqua?), which David Foote thinks is responsible for wiping out Drosophila engyochracea in Kipuka Ki and Puaulu starting in 2005. It is particularly fond of ohia trees with their large pieces of peeling bark.
