September 23, 2009. Palikea exclosure, east of the summit ridgeline. Drosophila ambochila? Originally thought to be D. montgomeryi, since it was found at the Urera sponges just below the large Ficus. However, it lacks the dark stripes on the mesonotum and anepisternum that D. montgomeryi has.
