Rock and coral wall at Sandy Beach, Oahu. Hylaeus anthracinus were nesting in the crevices and holes in the coral here, and apparently nowhere else along the beach; they were only found within about 100 feet of the wall. Note that many of these are not actually white coral, but black or gray rocks painted white; not sure what the point of that is.
